Artist statement

Working on clay is like playing music. Sound fades away 

before you can catch it. 

You have to move before you know how to play with it. 

Because of its transient and invisible character, sound is 

likely to reach our soul directly, without being blocked or 

translated by consciousness.

Pottery Creation and Cafe Chill-out

Even if it’s your first time, don’t worry—our staff will be there to guide you every step of the way. Feel free to create as many pottery pieces as you like. When you’re finished, you’ll pick one piece to keep, and you can choose from variety of our original glaze. Our staff will trim the base and apply the glaze for you. Please allow about one month for delivery (shipping fees not included).

After your pottery session, relax at our café, Tonobacca, where you can enjoy a selection of drinks, sweets, and dishes from our exclusive menu. (Please note that bottled wines are excluded, and there’s an additional 250 yen charge for alcoholic beverages.)
